Most people try so hard to be relatable.

They manufacturing struggles, perform authenticity, and craft vulnerability.

But that's backwards and if I may suggest - probably ineffective.

Trying to be Relatable is an inefficient thing to do.

It's putting on a show of commonality, in hopes of creating connection.

That's a lot of work for some likes.

There's a better way.

Instead of trying to be Relatable, just 'Relate'.

And when you do, that instantly makes you Relatable.

It means understanding how the world looks from your audience's perspective.

Not pretending to be them.

Understanding them.

When you're trying to be relatable, you're focused on yourself: How you appear, what image you project, and whether people will like you.

When you're relating, you're focused on them: Their experiences, challenges, and reality.

One creates performance.

The other creates connection.

It just takes a little Heart Work.

Which is exactly what content creation needs, and what makes content creation enjoyable.

When every post feels like pulling teeth, you can't tune in. You're too busy managing your own resistance.

When you're chasing viral formulas, you can't see real patterns. You're too focused on metrics.
